Sell your Neopets Pets and Unconverted Pets for Real Money!

Selling and trading pets is one of the most exciting aspects of Neopets! Whether you're looking to sell unconverted (UC) pets or buy some of the most sought-after creatures, the pet trade offers a dynamic marketplace. Fun Fact: Despite other Neoboards losing traction, the Pound Chat remains bustling with new posts every day!

TL_2019.png

Neopians buy pets for all sorts of reasons, from Battledome (BD) pets to painted pets, Limited Edition (LE) pets, and more. But how do they get their hands on so many of these amazing pets? This guide will break down everything you need to know about the pet trade, including the thriving Pound Chat Neoboard.

The Rundown

Pet sales are influenced by several factors. Let's dive into what matters when you’re selling a pet:

What Sells?

Certain types of pets are in high demand. Here’s a breakdown of the most frequently sold pets:

  • Battledome Pets (BD Pets)
  • Painted Pets
  • Limited Edition Pets (LE Pets)
  • Lab Rats

Each of these pet categories has a unique appeal, and I'll explain the details in the sections below.

What's in a Name?

The name of a pet can be the deciding factor for a successful sale. While a pet's species, color, or stats can be altered through various means, the name is the one thing that’s permanent. Here are some key pet name abbreviations you’ll come across:

  • RW (Real Word) – A pet’s name is an actual word from the dictionary.
  • RN (Real Named) – A pet’s name is an actual person’s name.
  • WN (Well Named) – A pet’s name sounds good or is thoughtfully created.
  • DN (Decently Named) – A pet’s name is okay, but not great.
  • BN (Badly Named) – A pet’s name is poorly chosen, often with underscores or numbers.

Level-wise

Levels are important to every pet dealer, not just BD pet sellers. If the account trying to adopt is under 4 months old, it cannot adopt pets with a level higher than 1. However, these accounts can still adopt painted pets in specific colors. Knowing a pet's level is key when pricing it.

Avvie Pets!

Pets that grant you an avatar are often priced higher due to demand on the Neoboards and among Avatar collectors. Here’s a list of all the Avatar Pets:

(Note: Some of these pets require an additional petpet or item attached to qualify for the avatar.)

Pet Types

Let’s explore the various pet types and why they hold value. Each type has different appeal, and that’s why their prices can vary. The most expensive pets are the Unconverted Neopets (which require their own separate discussion!).

Battledome Pets

These pets are considered the ultimate fighters in Neopia, making them highly valuable. As Neopia hosts numerous war plots, and many Neopians place a high value on the Battledome, BD pets often fetch high prices. The key to a good BD pet is having high and balanced stats, which are typically achieved through hand-training rather than zapping. As such, BD pets are often the most expensive in the pet trade.

Painted Pets

Painted pets are some of the easiest to obtain and are the most commonly sold. These pets are sought after mainly for their unique colors. While their purpose is simply to look good, painted pets are highly popular as a statement among Neopians. Since Paint Brushes are costly, painted pets are often much cheaper than buying the brush itself, making them a good deal.

Limited Edition Pets

LE pets are rare, and that’s what makes them valuable. Certain pets like Poogles, Cybunnys, Jetsams, and Chombys are especially coveted. These pets can either be sold as basic (no special color or stats) or painted. However, LE pets are usually priced higher than regular painted pets due to their limited availability. The highest-priced LE pets are Krawks and Draiks, which are hard to obtain and considered status symbols in Neopia.

Lab Rats

Lab Rats are pets that are repeatedly zapped in the hopes of obtaining a better color or stat boost. Unlike BD pets, Lab Rats aren’t hand-trained; they’re randomly altered by the Lab Ray. This makes their stats unpredictable, which is why Lab Rats are typically not as valuable as BD pets. However, they can still be sold as potential BD pets, meaning they may have some improved stats but require additional hand-training. Lab Rats are usually priced similarly to painted LE pets.

Getting Your Goods

Now that you know what kinds of pets are popular, the next question is: how do you get them? There are several methods, but they fall into two categories: legitimate and program-based approaches.

Pound Surfing

If you want to stay safe from freezes and play the game without programs, Pound Surfing is your option. It involves manually going to the Adoption side of the Pound and sifting through available pets to find one that fits your criteria. Once you find a pet, you can adopt it for a small fee. However, Pound Surfing can be time-consuming, and the chances of getting a pet are low.

Auto Adopting

Auto Adopting is a more efficient (though less legitimate) way to grab pets. It involves using a program to automatically surf the Pound for you. You can input your preferences for species, stats, and colors, and the program will attempt to grab a pet for you. The risk of being frozen is relatively low, but always be cautious.

Transfer Intercepting

My preferred method of pet acquisition! Transfer intercepting involves watching the Pound Neoboard for trade opportunities, then using a program to snatch the pet just as it's about to be transferred. I use a pet adopter program to help me capture these elusive pets. This method requires active participation, making it much more exciting than Auto Adopting.

Pet’s Here, Now What?

Once you’ve obtained your pet, it’s time to sell it! Neopians are always buying pets, and some pet resellers even buy pets from you to sell them again later. To get started in the pet trade, here’s what you need to know:

All is in a Name

As previously mentioned, a pet’s name can significantly impact the sale price. Use the following abbreviations when listing your pet:

  • RW (Real Word)
  • RN (Real Named)
  • WN (Well Named)
  • DN (Decently Named)
  • BN (Badly Named)

Format? What Format?

When listing pets, it’s important to follow a certain format. You’ll want to include:

  • Name Format – Hide the pet’s actual name using characters like X’s or #'s.
  • Level – Make sure to include the pet’s level.
  • Image – Upload an image of the pet to save potential buyers time.
  • HB/AB – Specify the Highest Bid (HB) and Automatic Buy (AB) price to guide potential buyers.

How Much is Enough?

Pricing pets can be tricky. If you price too high, you risk scaring off potential buyers, but if you price too low, you may not get the value you deserve. Experienced pet dealers usually create a pricing table based on each pet’s attributes, such as adding extra value for each stat point or percentage of the Paint Brush cost.

Getting from One Home to Another

Transferring pets through the Pound can be risky, especially with other intercepters around. If you’re selling a valuable pet (such as a Krawk or Draik), use the Neopets transfer system for added security. If you’re using the Pound, be sure to coordinate with your buyer, giving them the exact time you’ll be transferring the pet.

Wait a Minute, How About Petpets/Petpetpets?

Petpets and Petpetpets are also a hot commodity in the pet trade, as some grant avatars. These can raise the price of the pet they’re attached to, especially if they are aged or rare.

Final Words

That wraps up my guide to the pet trade in Neopia! Whether you’re a seasoned pet dealer or just getting started, I hope this guide helps you navigate the Pound and the Pet Chat with confidence. Happy trading!

What is my Neopets Accounts Worth?

As a new trader, you’ll often encounter questions about the pricing ratios of various Neopets items. Some questions seem to pop up repeatedly, so I’ve compiled this guide to help make things easier to understand. The guide will be updated regularly to reflect market changes and will cover pricing factors for Neopoints and Neopets accounts. Prices are provided in terms of either USD, Neopoints, or both, depending on the item. Whether you’re just starting out or have been trading for a while, this guide should help you get a better idea of how to price your items correctly.

malltours_lg.gif

If you’re ever unsure about the price of an item, I recommend asking for a price check in SPAM for Neopets. The prices of Neopets can fluctuate dramatically based on factors like stats, color, species, name, and avatar status.

Pricing Shell Accounts

Shell accounts are typically empty accounts used to create a fresh start or as a base for future pet creations. The pricing of these accounts can vary based on whether they are legit or illegit.

  • Legit Shell Accounts (Aged 4 months to 2 years):

    • 300k NP or $2 USD to 500k NP or $3 USD
  • Illegit Shell Accounts (Aged 4 months to 2 years):

    • 250k NP or $2 USD

Accounts older than two years are generally not sold as shell accounts.

Pricing Main Accounts

Main accounts, which are typically fully created with pets and have an avatar collection, tend to be priced higher. The age of the account, along with factors like avatar count and account history, all influence the price.

  • Legit Main Account with ~200 Avatars (Aged 4 months to 2 years):

    • 2 million NP or $11 USD to 4 million NP or $22 USD
  • Legit Main Account with ~225 or More Avatars (Aged 4 months to 2 years):

    • 2 million NP or $14 USD to 3.5 million NP or $25 USD
  • Legit Main Account with ~200 Avatars (Older than 2 years):

    • 6 million NP or $35 USD to 8 million NP or $50 USD
    • Note: The older the account, the higher the price range.
  • Legit Main Account with ~225 or More Avatars (Older than 2 years):

    • 4 million NP or $30 USD to 8 million NP or $50 USD
    • Again, the older the account, the higher the price range.

Additional Account Value Factors

If an account comes with additional assets, such as pets, Neopoints, or items, these will significantly impact the value of the account. Here’s how additional assets are valued:

  • Pets: The stats, species, color, and avatar status of the pets will all add value to the account.
  • Neopoints: If the account contains Neopoints, the current NP to USD exchange rate will be applied to calculate the added value.
  • Items: Any items in the account are priced based on their current value, and the total worth will be added to the account's price according to the NP to USD ratio.
  • Trophies: The presence of trophies can increase the account’s value, depending on the rarity and difficulty of the games from which the trophies were earned.

Disclaimer:

The prices listed here are approximations based on recent transactions and common pricing seen in the Neopets marketplace. These prices reflect my personal experience as well as accepted bids and standard Auction Board (AB) values.

However, these prices are not fixed. The Neopets market is always evolving, and these numbers may fluctuate over time. Always double-check prices before making any trades or sales, especially if you're a new trader.

Neopets Neopoints Generator 2014 - Working!

Now if any of you are familiar with NeoAcademy from back in the days, they were a site you could visit to automatically receive between 100k-250k a day. It was a great site, but management couldn't handle the high server costs, so they had to take down the website! However, we have salvaged some of the links ( they were referred to as image clicks or sponsor links!), and have recreated this old phenomenon.

NOTE: Takes betwee five-fifteen minutes for it to work!

Sell Neopets Items

Sell Neopets Items today and reap some easy profits! If you have older rare items lying around, than you may as well sell them for some fast cash. Ahh true, since many of us know that others Neopians buying and selling food, rare items, and spells unbuyables and tidbits nacky nicky are not as simple as it seems or is it? Rest assured my compatriots, must spend endless hours thinking about what you might have had when now you can have, and maybe while your at it, sell it for a nice little profit too! But I'm getting quite ahead of me, instead, buying and selling of the road may be rough, but rest assured, the rewards will be amazing!

For many, buying in stores can be one of the most difficult tasks that exist. However, many things must be considered before you try to purchase an item.

  • Determine whether an object is hot or not will determine whether you will have enough time to negotiate and bring down the price. If an item is hot, when you click on the image Buy the article, right there, enter the price that the vendor is required. If you trade, you will quickly find that someone else would have bought the product.

  • There is no sense in buying a product that is too expensive for you. Full stop. However, doing NP is not that hard if you really want to make some.

  • Never doubt the power of negotiation. Negotiation can take your prices half of what the vendor is required. For example, say a wand was 500,000 NP, you can negotiate down to about 280 000 NP To negotiate, always place half of what the vendor wants and then slowly make your way up. However, negotiations only if the item is not warm.

  • If you see a new element that looks awesome and you absolutely need, remember that it will generally go down in value so it would be more profitable to wait. For example, when brushes Faerie first came out, there were more than 100,000 NP, now they are worth 60,000 NP However, some items become more valuable over time as Faeries and Codestones. The best way to determine whether an item will gain value is whether or not they will be in demand in the future.

  • If the item is rarely available, so go ahead! Try to buy the chances are you will not see again for some time. If it is expensive, go ahead and buy it! You can always sell a little more in your shop to make some nice profit!

Guide to Transferring Neopoints - A Buy Neopets Safely Guide!

Are you wondering how to safely transfer Neopoints between accounts? Here's a step-by-step guide to help you do so securely.

How to Transfer Neopoints Between Accounts

While you cannot directly give Neopoints to another player, there are several methods to transfer them:

  1. Shop Method: Have the recipient list a very cheap item in their shop for the amount of Neopoints you want to transfer. You can then simply buy the item.

  2. Trade Method: The other player can put up a cheap item in their trades, and you can bid the amount of Neopoints you wish to send (up to 800,000 Neopoints per trade lot).

  3. Auction Method: They can list a cheap item in the auctions for the amount you wish to send, and you can bid on it.

Tips to Avoid Getting Frozen

To minimize the risk of your account being frozen, follow these best practices when transferring Neopoints:

  1. Use Different Account Information: Create an account that has no connection to your main one. Use a different password, screen name, and date of birth.

  2. Avoid Similar Account Names: Keep your account names distinct to avoid any automatic linking. For example, don’t use names like "OMGITSME" and "OMGITSME1337."

  3. Use Unique Email Addresses: Ensure your email addresses for different accounts are not related or similar in any way.

  4. Use Strong, Different Passwords: Avoid using the same or easily guessable passwords across your accounts. Consider using a password manager to keep track of them.

  5. Distribute Transfers: To make your transfer less suspicious, break up larger amounts into smaller ones. For example, transfer 50,000 Neopoints by buying 5 items for 10,000 each.

  6. Use the Trade Method: You can also trade a low-value item and request the desired Neopoints in return. This can be a secure way to transfer Neopoints.

  7. Clear Sales History: Ensure there are no visible traces of your transactions in your sales history.

  8. Consider Using Proxies: To add an extra layer of security, use a proxy when transferring Neopoints. Some recommended proxy services include:

  9. Avoid Linking Accounts via NeoFriends: Never transfer Neopoints to an account that has you listed as a NeoFriend.

  10. Wait for New Accounts to Age: If you’re transferring large amounts, avoid doing so from a newly created account, especially if it earned a lot of Neopoints in a short time. Let the account mature before transferring.

  11. Auction Transfer Strategy: When using auctions, be discreet and avoid overusing the system. If you use a proxy, this step is less risky.

  12. Use Discreet Messaging: If you’re using the trade method, consider mentioning that the transfer is "Reserved for a friend" if you're not using a proxy (though this can still be risky).

  13. Leave Small Amounts After Transfers: When transferring large amounts of Neopoints, leave a small sum (e.g., 1,000, 2,000, or 5,000 Neopoints) behind to make the transaction look more natural.

  14. Item Resale: Another method is buying an item worth around 40,000 Neopoints and selling it back to yourself. However, this method is not highly recommended due to potential risks.

By following these steps and using proxies when necessary, you can safely transfer Neopoints while minimizing the chances of your account being flagged. Always remember that discretion is key!

Various Ways to Gettting Neopoints - Guide!

1. Playing GamesI know that this sounds hard, but I started off making neopoints playing games, not knowing about other methods. When I am not lazy I can make around 200k neopoints a day playing games. I usually make about 25k. Play quick games like kass basher to maximise profit. If you set a goal of 30k a day in games, try to reach that goal every day and you'll have a couple hundred thousand neopoints within a week. The more you play the easier the games with become.

Also, if you have a couple of games that you are good at, you should enter the world challenges. You can win items that you can sell for a decent amount of neopoints. It also increases your motivation to play games.

Another way to increase you motivation in earning neopoints in games is playing a ##k a day game on the Games Chat. That is a game in which everyone plays games and races to see who can win whatever number neopoints is decided before hand. It's fun to chat about the games as you play them, and friendly competitions are great.

2. The Stock Market
I invest 15000 neopoints every day in the stock market. I buy 1000 shares of anything that is at 15 because that is the limit. Then, I watch it. If the stock falls, it falls and there's nothing I can do about it. Just be patient, it will eventually rise. Sell the stock when it reaches 45, and you will triple the amount that you put in. I have made a couple million from playing the stock market over the years.

3. Restocking
This is my personal favorite. I love restocking and going for unbuyables. If you are a beginner, start in pharm. As you become more advanced find a shop that you like, such as magic. To prevent yourself from becoming bored, go on a RS&Chat board on the AC, BD Chat, Trading Boards, or Shop Ads. You will spend hours restocking and it won't be painful, and you'll make a hefty sum of neopoints as you get better!

A great guide to learn how to restock is here:*http://www.neopets.com/~Advantina

If you need any help with restocking, please let me know. I have restocked over 1000 unbuyables throughout my time on neopets.

4. Reselling/sniping
Buy things cheap in trades/auctions/shops and sell them for more. Some good items to try for include Morphing Potions, Transmogrification Potions, Paint Brushes, and Avatar Items. I'm not very good at explaining how to do these, but practice makes better. The more you try, the better you will get, and the more successful you with be.

5. Investments
You can make a good amount of neopoints if you have the neopoints to invest and time to spend. You can invest in seasonal items, such as items for the bonju avatar, and you can invest in newly retired items.

For the seasonal items, buy them in bulk whenever you see them very low. Buy as many as you can afford, then sell when it is time for the avatar. If you are spend a couple mil on the items, you'll end up making a great amount of neopoints. If you don't have that much to invest, you can still make a couple hundred k. Make sure you advertise your shop on the AC!

For the newly retired stuff, you know that the price will only go up. The longer you wait the more valuable the item will be. Right when you see an item become retired, buy a bunch of them. Sell whenever you need some neopoints. You can make neopoints easily if you are patient.

6. Dailies
This is my last tip - always do dailies!

You never know what you'll get. It only takes a couple of minutes to do all of them, and you can end up making a quick hundred thousand neopoints or more. If you are persistent you will eventually be lucky.
