1. Playing GamesI know that this sounds hard, but I started off making neopoints playing games, not knowing about other methods. When I am not lazy I can make around 200k neopoints a day playing games. I usually make about 25k. Play quick games like kass basher to maximise profit. If you set a goal of 30k a day in games, try to reach that goal every day and you'll have a couple hundred thousand neopoints within a week. The more you play the easier the games with become.
Also, if you have a couple of games that you are good at, you should enter the world challenges. You can win items that you can sell for a decent amount of neopoints. It also increases your motivation to play games.
Another way to increase you motivation in earning neopoints in games is playing a ##k a day game on the Games Chat. That is a game in which everyone plays games and races to see who can win whatever number neopoints is decided before hand. It's fun to chat about the games as you play them, and friendly competitions are great.
2. The Stock Market
I invest 15000 neopoints every day in the stock market. I buy 1000 shares of anything that is at 15 because that is the limit. Then, I watch it. If the stock falls, it falls and there's nothing I can do about it. Just be patient, it will eventually rise. Sell the stock when it reaches 45, and you will triple the amount that you put in. I have made a couple million from playing the stock market over the years.
3. Restocking
This is my personal favorite. I love restocking and going for unbuyables. If you are a beginner, start in pharm. As you become more advanced find a shop that you like, such as magic. To prevent yourself from becoming bored, go on a RS&Chat board on the AC, BD Chat, Trading Boards, or Shop Ads. You will spend hours restocking and it won't be painful, and you'll make a hefty sum of neopoints as you get better!

I'm not very good at explaining how to do these, but practice makes better. The more you try, the better you will get, and the more successful you with be.

For the seasonal items, buy them in bulk whenever you see them very low. Buy as many as you can afford, then sell when it is time for the avatar. If you are spend a couple mil on the items, you'll end up making a great amount of neopoints. If you don't have that much to invest, you can still make a couple hundred k. Make sure you advertise your shop on the AC!
For the newly retired stuff, you know that the price will only go up. The longer you wait the more valuable the item will be. Right when you see an item become retired, buy a bunch of them. Sell whenever you need some neopoints. You can make neopoints easily if you are patient.

You never know what you'll get. It only takes a couple of minutes to do all of them, and you can end up making a quick hundred thousand neopoints or more. If you are persistent you will eventually be lucky.
